Contra Costa RCD Agricultural Partners
Contra Costa RCD works with a variety of federal, state, local, for-profit and non-profit partners to achieve conservation in our community. Below is a brief list of some of those partners and links to their websites.

USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service
The mission of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is to provide resources to farmers and landowners to aid them with conservation. Born out of the "Dust Bowl" and originally named the Soil Conservation Service, the NRCS provides technical and financial assistance to willing landowners to conserve natural resources like air, land, water, and soil. Contra Costa RCD shares office space with the NRCS at the Concord Field Office.

University of California, Cooperative Extension
The mission of the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) is to enhance the quality of life and the environmental and economic well-being of the citizens of California through research and education. Contra Costa RCD works with UCCE to deliver the latest in technical advancements or knowledge to citizens of Contra Costa.

Contra Costa County Farm Bureau
Contra Costa County Farm Bureau (FB) is a non-profit, volunteer organization whose mission is to protect and promote agriculture within the county while striving to encourage agriculture education and stewardship of the lands. Contra Costa RCD has worked with the Farm Bureau in the past to carry out meetings between groups of farmers and ranchers and technical staff from the NRCS, UCCE, and other agencies.

Contra Costa County Department of Agriculture
The Contra Costa County Deparment of Agriculture under the direction of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Department of Pesticide Regulations and Division of Measurement Standards, is responsible for conducting regulatory and service activities pertaining to the agricultural industry and the consumers of our county.
