Relive our online presentations during our first, ever Digital Earth Week!

We kicked off our first ever Digital Earth Week with “Something to Celebrate: Earth Day Turns 50.” You’ll learn about the history of Earth Day and we also share some hands-on activities.

Watch the following presentation, “Backyard Birding with Ben.” You’ll hear about our local birds so you can keep an eye on them too. Also watch the follow-up short video on how to make a bird feeder.

Watch the 3rd installment of CCRCD's Digital Earth Week in “Become a Citizen Scientist at Home.” You’ll learn what technology is available out there so you can be a scientist too.

Join us for this 50th Anniversary of Earth Day as we discover “What’s in Your Watershed?” Students of all ages participate in this interactive hands-on art activity to learn all about watersheds.

It’s not every day one gets an open forum to ask questions about the environment, and that's what this presentation is all about in “Q&A with CCRCD Staff.” We also talk about environmental programs and projects in Contra Costa County as well as our paths that led us to the Contra Costa RCD. See below!

In this 6th installment of Earth Week, get an up close view and learn about the various aquatic weeds of the Delta during “Diving in the Weeds of the Delta.”

Watch this video below to learn how to become the best recycler you can during “Understand the R’s in Recycling.” You’ll also learn about backyard and kitchen composting.

In our final installment of CCRCD's Digital Earth Week, we feature an interview of Harold Wood during “History of Earth Day w/ Harold Hood.” Come hear Harold’s great stories about the first Earth Day 50 years ago and how far the movement has progressed.
