The mission of the Contra Costa Resource Conservation District is to facilitate conservation and stewardship of the natural resources in our county. With the help of our partners, Contra Costa RCD strives to provide technical and financial assistance to any willing farmer or rancher. Read about some of our program offerings below or get in contact with us using the contact form. We look forward to hearing and working with you!

Upcoming events & Workshops

Contra Costa RCD continues to be a technical assistance provider for the current solicitation of the California Department of Food and Agricuilture's Healthy Soil Program. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until June 26, 2020 or until all available funds are expected. California farmers, ranchers, and federally/state recognized tribes are all eligible to apply.

If interested, please contact Ben Weise at bweise@ccrcd.org or by phone at (925) 690-4145 as soon as possible. Below are some of the eligible practices for funding. At this time, we are conducting "virtual site visits" through Zoom or other teleconferencing software. Please contact Ben Weise to schedule a meeting and begin the application process.
