POSITION DESCRIPTION Executive Director The Contra Costa Resource Conservation District (CCRCD) has an exceptional leadership opportunity for a highly motivated Executive Director to manage the CCRCD, and partner with and support the resource conservation community within Contra Costa County. The Contra Costa RCD's mission is to facilitate conservation and stewardship of the natural resources in our County. We strive to achieve the highest-level of CARCD’s Standards of Excellence to achieve relevance, excellence, and visibility, as identified by the Planning for the Future: A Statewide Pathway to Excellence. The Executive Director leads and manages our District team in the delivery of services as outlined by the Board of Directors and the District's strategic plan. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate the District's goals, activities, roles, and responsibilities to other agencies, organizations, and individuals. CCRCD also works in collaboration with its federal partner, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The Executive Director reports to the CCRCD's Board of Directors and oversees District staff and consultants. We collaborate on many aspects of project planning and implementation, including seeking appropriate funding sources. All employees of the District are required to work collaboratively and to serve as a positive role model for other employees by supporting the mission, vision, and values of the District. This is a salary position with a pay range of $75,000 to $100,000 per year. The deadline for applications is August 31st, 2017.
